Beach Day Clean Up & Craft for Wildlings
Ages 3-12
Parents, join your Wildlings for a beach day clean up and found-object craft day inspired by children's book, “The Mess That We Make” by Michelle Lord. As a group, we’ll read the story and discuss the impact we have on our planet and how we can play an integral role in keeping our local communities clean and safe. Using found objects from nature and manmade sources, students will build a dangling garden wind chime that will blow in the wind, gently reminding us of our small, but great impact.
In this 2 hour on-site class, we’ll explore:
parent-and-me, collaborative class style
literature-based focus to help guide our creative process
creation of found object wind chime
